Kylle' D. McKinney, Public Affairs Specialist from the Social Security Administration will be our guest speaker on Thursday, June 18. Kylle` will speak to us about the SSA retirement and Medicare.
Before you come to the presentation, Kylle` invites you to visit www.socialsecurity.gov/myaccount. This link allows individuals to create their own My Social Security account to do a number of things.
If you are not yet drawing benefits, you can create this account to view, download, and printout your annual Social Security statement. With this statement you can view and check on your earnings and view estimates of your future retirement, disability, or survivor benefits.
If you are receiving benefits, you can create the account to view, download, and printout your benefit verification letter, start and change your direct deposit, change your address, and also download and print out a replacement 1099 for tax purposes.
If you would like to bring your Social Security statements with you to the event that would be great! Hopefully, this will give us a better understanding of how to help our employees prepare for retirement.
