Speaker: Timothy Ewing, Bureau of Labor Statistics
Timothy Ewing, Economist with the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in Atlanta, will discuss how HR professionals can use information compiled by the BLS for the purposes of compensation and benefits package analysis, including determining wage differences between geographical areas, incidence and provisions of retirement and benefit plans, and other statistics. He will also discuss which industries plan to add the most jobs in 2014. *This program has been submitted to HRCI for pre-approval for certification credit.
Timothy is a senior economist in the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Atlanta Regional Economic Analysis and Information Office (EA&I). He is responsible for writing and updating BLS Southeast News
Releases, responding to media inquiries, and development outreach. Before EA&I, he worked in both the division of compensation and division of price programs collecting and analyzing data firsthand. Mr. Ewing graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology and received a Masters in Applied Economics from Georgia Southern University.
