As employers increasingly focus on results rather than time spent at the office, workplace flexibility is replacing the one-size-fits-all, 9-to-5 way of working. Family and personal concerns can be major sources of stress. In professional service firms, for example, studies show that well over half of employees can expect to experience some kind of work-family stress in a three-month time period. For these reasons, creating a culture of flexibility is critical to enable people to succeed both personally and professionally.

Kim Dailey is a Human Resource Manager with Michelin North America at the BFGoodrich Tire Manufacturing Facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  She received her Bachelor’s degree from Southern University in Political Science and a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) from Louisiana State University.  After completion of her MPA, Kim began working as a Human Resources Supervisor for United States Gypsum Company (USG).  After 9 years with USG, she decided to get out of the building materials manufacturing business and to get in to the tire manufacturing business.

Kim has held the roles of Facility Training Manager and Salary Personnel Manager at Michelin.  She is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Tuscaloosa Human Resources Professionals (THRP).  Kim has held the Diversity Chairperson role and currently serves as Certification Chairperson for THRP.   She also serves as the current President of the Tuscaloosa Chapter of Toastmasters International.

Kim currently resides in Tuscaloosa with her husband, George and daughter, Sydnie.
